Road Agent Publicity is a specialist music PR outfit by publicist, Cat Clarke.  

With a career spanning over 15 years in the Australian music and entertainment industry, and a proverbial shit-ton of experience in publicity and communications to boot, executing creative and impactful publicity campaigns is what Cat does best. She’s also pretty good at wrangling talent, just ask The Chats… but they may not be ready to talk about it yet. 

Cat has a passion for music that runs deep, matched only by her knack for amplifying the presence of artists across all genres, at all stages of their career. Be it album releases, singles, national tours, or festivals, Cat has the know-how to reach media across all platforms. 

Her most recent career highlights include heading up publicity at Melbourne-based music company, Cooking Vinyl Australia, where she spearheaded album campaigns and tours for Fanny Lumsden, The Chats, Mia Dyson, Billy Bragg, Neko Case, PUP, CERES, Luca Brasi, Ben Harper & Charlie Musselwhite, The Darkness, Amanda Palmer, Chris Shiflett, and Deafheaven to name a few. 

And if promoting, nurturing, and loving music wasn’t enough, Cat and her husband Luke ‘Boo’ Johnston (with sporadic cameos from their tiny musos, Audrey and William) run Road Agent Touring Services. Earlier this year Cat and Boo returned to Melbourne with their family after a two-year stint up North where the pair cherished their time as custodians of beloved Brisbane live music venue, The Zoo. During this time they also co-founded sister venue to The Zoo, ‘Stranded’, along with a downstairs retail offering, ‘Booze’ bottle shop, and bar.

Previously, Cat was a member of the team at Riot House Publicity, working on campaigns for Alex Lahey and Beyond The Valley Festival.
